When I started studying at the university, I had no idea that I had an infinity number of postgraduate, especially, in Architecture career. I think that I had never a idea what I want, until the moment of decisions, it was the same with the major.
I still don´t know if I really want this, but, if I stay here, I have two options of postgraduate, I think...
The first option, is Interior Architecture postgraduate, it always caught my attention, the design of interiors of the houses it's very interesting to learn, and, the remodeling part is the best, I like so much, because is an amendment of the spaces, also the "Property Brothers" program is a great influencer in this for me, they show us the whole process of transformation of a house.
Example of Interior Architecture:
And the second option, I’m so interesting in the field of Urbanism, or Urban Design, I consider is a good choice to postgraduate, because, is a job which is necessary to the city and the life quality of people, also, that works to order the city and the sustainable development. I dream with a town with a really sustainable public transport, or a city designed to the pedestrian.
Example of Urban Design:
I think it’s difficult for me to do the postgraduate studies outside the country, because I’m very attached to my family and everything that I have here in Chile, but, it’s a idea that is still in my mind.
If I study a postgraduate, I would do it at my current university, or maybe, at Universidad Católica, but sincerely, apart of the expensive cost of a master, I prefer to done the major first, graduate to the university and after this, to think about the postgraduate idea in the clear way.
It is really difficult to make decisions, especially as important as career or postgraduate studies. Your first option is also one of mine, I think it would be great to complement architecture and interior design.
ResponderEliminarYour two postgraduate options sound very interesting and as it’s a difficult decision it’s good that you know more or less how to continue with your career in the future. Also, continue your studies abroad would be a different experience.
